But my concern ...Like I said, I hope you're right. But my concern is premised on BC losing the next two, meaning their RPI drops probably 10-15 spots to 40 or so. And that would mean this year's Eagles would have lost 5 of 6 to close the season, including 1 and done in the tourney, whereas the 2003 edition won 9 of 11 to close the season and won their conference tourney opener. Compound the fade with a clearly weaker team absent Sean Williams, and the analysis is a lot closer.Angry Eaglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01704225605766549633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347987954564294628.post-12169659177737338122007-02-27T14:36:00.000-08:002007-02-27T14:36:00.000-08:00compare these two teamsRecord vs. D1: 18-11 (10-6)...compare these two teams

Record vs. D1: 18-11 (10-6)
Conf. But the last time BC finishe...I hope you're right. But the last time BC finished with 19 wins and 10-6 in conference with a couple of ugly non-conference losses was 2003, when they went to the NIT. All the pundits then said BC was a lock leading up to Selection Sunday, and then they turned into the consensus bubble team that got jobbed. I'm worried that's where we're heading now if they go down to GTech and in the ACCs.Angry Eaglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01704225605766549633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-347987954564294628.post-80811272549212030882007-02-26T20:18:00.000-08:002007-02-26T20:18:00.000-08:00dont worry... the polls mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING......dont worry... the polls mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING... if you look at the numbers there is no way bc can be excluded- top 30 rpi, top 15 sos and 10 wins in the acc (RPI ranked second best conf.) losing 5 of last 6 sounds bad, but only if you aren't paying attention to who those are against (Duke, Carolina, @Vatech, @Gatech) and the committee definitely will look at that. losing the next 2 would obviously be bad but there is no way it could do anything worse than bumping us to the 10 seed range. check out bracketology, lunardi isnt 100% correct but he only gets a few teams wrong every year. right now we are at a 6 seed but he says we would be higher if not for so many other acc teams clustered in the same range... also, check out the resumes for true bubble teams like syracuse and west virginia- there is no comparison.. not trying to say these games aren't important because they are critical for seeding but you dont have to worry about getting knocked out of the field, go eagles!bceagle08https://www.blogger.com/profile/10984060566427997171noreply@blogger.com
